Summary: The Coffee Route is a national monument.
THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC I make known that the National Congress decrees and I sanction the following Law:
Art. 1º The Coffee Route is hereby erected as a national monument, comprising the road that starts on the BR-365 in the municipality of Patrocínio, passes along the BR-354 in the municipalities of Patos de Minas, Lagoa Formosa and Carmo do Paranaíba, through the junction with the MG-235 in the Municipality of São Gotardo and continues to the right along the BR-262 in the Municipalities of Araxá and Campos Altos, returns to the BR-354 and passes through the junction in the Municipality of Tapiraí and the Municipalities of Bambuí, Iguatama and Arcos until the junction with the MG-050 in the Municipality of Formiga, continues through the municipalities of Alpinópolis and Carmo do Rio Claro on the BR-265 and on through the municipalities of Ilicínea and Boa Esperança to the junction with the BR-369, passes through the junction in the municipality of Cristais and through the municipalities of Aguanil, Campo Belo, São Francisco de Paula and Oliveira, returns via BR-369 to BR-265 in the municipality of Boa Esperança, continues to the municipality of Santana da Vargem and, on MG-167, passes through the municipality of Três Pontas, continues to the municipality of Varginha, where Porto Seco Sul de Minas is located, passes the junction with the BR-491 highway and on it turns right through the municipalities of Elói Mendes, Paraguaçu, Alfenas, Areado, Monte Belo, Muzambinho, Guaxupé, Guaranésia and São Sebastião do Paraíso, returns to the junction with the BR-146 highway in the municipality of Muzambinho and passes through the municipalities of Cabo Verde, Botelhos, Bandeira do Sul, Campestre and Machado, follows the MG-453 to the BR-491 in the Municipality of Paraguaçu until the Municipality of Varginha, continues until the junction with the BR-381 in the Municipality of Três Corações and follows this highway until the junction with the BR-267, passes through the municipalities of Campanha, Cambuquira, Conceição do Rio Verde and, on the right, on the BR-460, through the municipality of São Lourenço to the municipality of Carmo de Minas, at the junction with the MG-347, and continues through the municipalities of Cristina, Pedralva and São José do Alegre until the junction with the BR-459, then turn right on this highway through the municipalities of Santa Rita do Sapucaí and Pouso Alegre, continue on the BR-381 to the municipality of São Paulo and follow the SP-150 to its final destination at the port in the municipality of Santos.
Art. 2 This Law shall enter into force on the date of its publication.

☕✨ This morning, we kicked off the activities of the National Coffee Circuit Convention Center at Expocafé 2026 with a robust program full of relevant content for the coffee sector.
The program, led by SEAPA, brought debates and lectures on productivity mapping, updating the coffee culture, the Green Seal Platform, certification, territorial intelligence, sustainability, and advances in coffee genetic improvement, bringing together important names and institutions from Minas Gerais's agriculture sector. 🌱
We will also address topics on associativism and cooperativism that impact the life of coffee farmers and the leading role of women in coffee. More exchanges, connections, and knowledge at the National Coffee Circuit Convention Center.
And tomorrow, we'll have more talks and debates, follow everything so you don't miss a moment! ☕🚜
The opening of Expocafé 2026 was marked by the presence of various authorities and stakeholders from the coffee industry. One of the special moments was the handover of the National Coffee Circuit landmarks to the cities of Elói Mendes, Cambuquira, São Bento Abade, and Três Corações.
The event brought together important leaders, including Governor Mateus Simões, Cocatrel President Jacques, Federal Deputy Diego Andrade, state deputies, mayors, authorities, and representatives from the cities that received the landmark and municipalities in the region.
The mayors of the honored municipalities were present: Natal Donizetti Cadorini, mayor of Elói Mendes; Enéias Machado de Souza, mayor of São Bento Abade; Dimas Pereira Abraão, Mayor of Três Corações. The Cambuquira City Hall was represented by Walkiria Alves Lopes Tavares Pereira, Secretary of Economic and Sustainable Development of Cambuquira, and the Monte Carmelo City Hall was represented by Secretary Zizi.
Edgar Bessa, Coordinator of the National Coffee Circuit; Renato Paiva, President of Sicoob Credivar; Diego Andrade, Federal Deputy, and Matheus Simões, Governor of the State of Minas Gerais, presented a tribute to the Mayors who received the milestone.
The power of coffee continues to make its mark, connecting cities, strengthening tourism, and driving the future of Minas Gerais and Brazil.

This initiative expands tourism opportunities for cities linked to gastronomy, local commerce, hospitality, tradition, and business.
